about the car
price is $14,500k obo. I'm definitely willing to deal. Basically this car is absolutely perfect in every possible way. It is a silver, manual, two door, 2009 rabbit. Basically it comes with everything you could possibly want. six speakers including tweeters, front and side airbags for front and rear, remote entry and alarm, power everything, AC, and everything else you could possibly want. It has under 8k miles.
This is not my first manual either. I have had them for 10 years and I drove this car perfectly. I've never stalled it or ground the gears once. I know that new cars must be broken in very gently and I have done so. So basically when you buy this car you're getting basically a brand new car, except I've broken it in for you so you can drive it as aggressively as you like knowing it's been broken in gently. I drive very slowly and carefully.
Also the car will come with the excellent VW warranty and service policy. Basically up to 120k miles VW will provide ALL regular maintenance; oil changes etc.
I'd love to keep this car but I have medical bills that must be paid and so I need to downsize to something less luxurious. The car is really lovely. Consumer reports gave it the one of the highest ratings for any small car both in quality and reliability
It really is a sporty small car. 170hp 5cyl engine, which coupled with the 5speed transmission is very quick. And from a safety standpoint you just can't compare it to other small cars. there are I-beams through the doors to protect from side impact. Airbags everywhere, and construction much more solid than any in the category, and also most any other make.
When i bought it i was looking at other cars like honda fit, mazda3, and others. other small cars like honda fit or civic have nothing on this one. the technology and horsepower of the VW are in an entirely different class than other small cars. the mazda3 can compete, but from a safety standpoint nothing comes close to the VW. you can have as many airbags as possible but without a heavy duty metal frame on the car, an airbag can't protect well from a side impact. It's something that doesn't matter until it makes all the difference there is. Thankfully, they combined safety and sportiness in this one, so you don't have to compromise.
I've had zero regrets about buying this car. I wish I could keep it. When you come to see it your more than welcome to take it to a mechanic and get it checked out however you like. I'd just probably need to come with you.
If you want to see exactly what this car is like, you can test drive a new VW golf, because as far as I can tell they changed practically nothing about the car except the name, and bumped up the price a heck of a lot.
As far as payment: the only thing I'll accept is a cashier's check, that we take together to my bank, wells fargo, and they confirm it and deposit it in my account.
The only thing I've added to the car are some nice VW OEM floormats. Other than that it's unchanged. This car has not been raced, or driven hard or damaged in any way. It's been broken in carefully and I need to sell quickly because of bills. Come get a steal of a deal on a car consumer reports has rated at the very top of its class.
When i say it's perfect i mean it. no cosmetic blemishes. mechanically perfect. i could describe everything, but basically it's a new car at a much lower price; it's that simple.
